I'm working on the experimental segment of Deep, and they wanted a film burn effect. Not entirely sure what kind, but I was guessing those burn effect you get from old filmreels when it get's to much light on them.
I experimented by filming the fireplace in the house I'm living in, recording the fire, taking the footage to Adobe Premiere and then just play around with colour and blur effects.
